Caniço, Calheta, and Machico. Your adventure begins bright and early,
between 3:30 AM and 4:00 AM, ensuring we reach the trailhead in time for you
to witness the breathtaking sunrise from one of Madeira’s highest peaks.

● 3:30 AM - 4:00 AM: Hotel Pickup
Our friendly guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation.
Enjoy a scenic drive through Madeira’s serene early morning landscapes
as we head towards the starting point of your hike.
● 4:30 AM - 5:00 AM: Arrival at Pico do Arieiro
Arrive at the third highest peak of Madeira, Pico do Arieiro. Here, we
begin our hike under the blanket of the night sky, guided by the soft
glow of headlamps and the distant twinkling of stars.
● 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM: Hiking to Pico Ruivo
Traverse the rugged, yet captivating trail from Pico do Arieiro to Pico
Ruivo, Madeira’s highest peak. Along the way, marvel at the island’s
unique geology and lush vegetation, illuminated by the soft light of
dawn.
● 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM: Sunrise at Pico Ruivo
Arrive at the summit just in time to witness the glorious sunrise. As the
sun rises above the horizon, take in the awe-inspiring views of the
surrounding peaks, valleys, and the vast Atlantic Ocean. This is a
moment to reflect, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and truly
appreciate the beauty of nature.
● 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Light Breakfast & Descent
After soaking in the sunrise, enjoy a light breakfast of freshly brewed
coffee or tea and local pastries. Begin your descent, savoring the
changing landscapes as the morning light transforms the island.
● 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Return to Hotel
After a fulfilling hike, relax during the drive back to your hotel, where you
can rest and reflect on the unforgettable experience you've just had.
